6 Internet Jobs You Can Do Anywhere

While retirees and the independently wealthy have been leaving the country for more attractive locations for decades (see post here), ‎it’s only recently that the option has been available for those of us who still have to work.

The reason for that? The Internet, of course.

High-speed connections and the ability to both send and receive money online means it’s easier than ever before to work remotely.

In fact, millions of Americans work from home every day, so it stands to reason that you could work from another country as well.

While you could get a more traditional “job” and work from the road, it’s significantly easier if you don’t have a boss to worry about.

Rather than looking for an online job, then, you’re probably better off to build a business. Several opportunities are out there.

Depending on your income needs, this might mean working just a few hours per week, or it might mean a bigger commitment.

Good thing these popular online businesses offer incredible flexibility in addition to great income potential:

When reviewing any opportunity, look for a good solid offer and most importantly, look for one that is believable. Remember that there is no such thing as “get rich quick”. Any legitimate business will tell you up front that success can only be achieved with dedication and hard work.

• Virtual assistant – VAs work in a lot of different areas and specialties. They build websites, edit audio and video files, write content, create graphics, keep appointment calendars, and just about anything else that can be done on a computer.

Pay ranges from $10 to $75 per hour and up.

There is some stiff competition from other countries in this market however, most notable the Phillipines, where VAs can be contracted for $2 to $5 per hour.(check this site to see the competition).

Once you understand the competition, you can prepare your resume to offer services more along the format of Elance.

• Affiliate marketer – Affiliate marketers make money by recommending products to others.

This is what I do.

When you makes a sale through a specially coded affiliate link, you earn a  commission. Income is based on the amount of effort you put into it, and can range from very little to multiple six figures.

While I have several sources of income from affiliate marketing, let me give you the two that I place at the top of the opportunities: Ipas2 and the Empower Network.

I have provided links to the site landing pages where you can independently assess the offers.

These are great opportunities that can be worked from anywhere in the world.

Watch the testimonials in the videos and Facebook pages as well. And be sure to watch both opportunities before making any decision.

Of course, I am available if you have any questions. 🙂

• Information product creator – If you have a great deal of knowledge about a particular topic (or just like to research) and love to write and/or create videos and audios, creating info products might be for you.

Product creators can earn hundreds of thousands of dollars each year, but it generally takes time to build up to that level.

A good place to start your research is in this discussion: www.chrisg.com

• Coach – Coaching is a hot business these days, and can easily be done remotely. Life coaches help their clients achieve more and have a happier life. Business coaches assist with business planning and development. Dating coaches help clients find lasting love.

Coaches can earn up to $500 per hour, but be aware that some certification may be required.

Because of the diversity of this subject matter, your best choice is to GTS (google that stuff) your subject matter to get off to a quick start.

• General transcription – If you love to type (and are fast and accurate) you might enjoy transcription. Turning audio files into text can pay up to $85 per hour. Check out this company and their FAQs for ideas: Rev

• Ghostwriting – Writing is an in-demand skill, and can certainly provide a good income no matter where you live.

The best magazine writers can earn $2000 or more per article, but most online writers make significantly less than that.

Here is a good place to start: 3 steps

Any of these businesses can be operated entirely online with nothing more than a laptop and maybe a headset.

Rarely will you be required to attend a face-to-face meeting, meaning your schedule will be totally flexible, and you can live anywhere you choose.

To your success!

3 Reasons Why You Can’t Just Run Away from Home

So you’re thinking you might just want to pull up stakes and head for an exotic, romantic location on a more-or-less permanent basis. Well, you’re not alone.

In fact, retirees have been heading for foreign shores for years, in search of lower costs of living without sacrifice – and they’re finding it in places like Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Venezuela and others.

These retirees have an advantage – no need to hold down a job.

But in the past few years, the proliferation of online-based jobs has made it possible for even those of us of working age to move abroad.

You can’t just pack up and go, however.

You do need to plan ahead.

First, there are some considerations to be made. For example, what about family?

If you have children, grandchildren, siblings, or elderly parents, it can be difficult to move so far away. Suddenly a visit isn’t just a day trip or even a weekend – it’s an expensive plane trip.

When you’re working out your new budget, you’ll want to include enough money to make several trips home each year.

Next, consider where it is you want to live.

Will it be a “low cost country” or a quaint European village? While you might think a low cost of living is the best deal, remember that in many of these countries, the locals live in poverty, while Americans live like kings. If seeing that kind of poverty on a daily basis will bother you, then perhaps Central America and the like should not be your first choice.

Some other considerations when choosing a new place to call home is the infrastructure.

Will you have access to adequate health and dental care, or will you need to come home to visit your dentist? Also, you might want to look for places that have established ex-pat communities.

You may think you’ll be happy living so far from home, but the truth is, months away from familiar faces and voices and yes, even television shows, can be stressful.

Better to find a place where at least you’ll have someone to talk to.

A search online for forums and communities devoted to the ex-patriot lifestyle will turn up several online resources where people living outside their home countries congregate. They’ll help answer questions you might have, plus give you the inside scoop on what it’s really like to live abroad.

A good starting point to “feel out” any area is at http://www.expatriates.com

While not too much in the way of a forum, it does allow you to check housing,  services, and the community overview. A good starting forum to engage with others is at http://www.expatforum.com/

Remember, vacationing is different from living, so it pays to have a guide to help you learn the ropes.

Finally, you’ll most likely need to liquidate before hitting the road.

Will you sell your home and furniture or rent it out while you’re gone? If you decide to rent your home, is there someone close that you can trust to keep an eye on it?

You might consider using a property management service, too, but keep in mind the bill for that will eat into your profits.

Living abroad is a dream that’s far more attainable now than it has ever been.

In fact the founder of Empower Network, David Wood and family, as well as Justin Verrengia, million dollar ring earner, with his wife and child, all reside in the area I am contemplating, Belize.

The ability to earn money online with nothing more than a laptop means you truly can live anywhere you like – you just need to do a little advanced planning and have a dream.

Presence And Worth- 2 Ingredients For Success

Working at home can be frustrating at times as it seems to be too easy to become distracted and move from topic to topic without solidly completing anything.

Even though we establish a routine and swear that we will not deviate from it, we manage to find an interesting Facebook article or video and off we go…again and again… and before we know it, the better part of the day has passed with the “to do” list pretty much in the same state as when we set it.

This was me before I came to the realization that time once wasted can never be retrieved. Oh, I know that sounds obvious but ask yourself that if this is in the forefront of your mind, why is so much time pissed away on trivial matters when there is work to be done?

You only have so many hours in a day. To avoid wasting time. you need a way to keep the realization of time in the forefront.

Keep wasting time and you may never achieve Presence and Worth, initial ingredients for success.

Look at your most respected and successful individuals and you will see that they have a method to remain focused. Each may vary but there are some commonalities.

They all have a desire. They all have a philosophy. And they all focus. And all have established Presence and Worth.

Confucius (551 b.c.-479 b.c.) was such a man. Such was his influence and  accomplishments that he is compared to such leaders and emperors as Ramses II and Alexander the Great.

Now no one is saying that to be successful, you have to conquer nations, build empires or establish philosophies (unless you are so inclined) but history can provide some lessons that we can take away.

The desire of Confucius was to be a teacher and it did not take long before the news of this capable man had spread and many students had gathered to be taught by him.

He had established his presence and worth in his early twenties as superintendent of the public market and through his sound judgement great improvements were made in agriculture. From these beginnings, one of the greatest philosophies governing man evolved.

For a period of almost 1500 years , the teachings of Confucius formed the basis of the Chinese culture and state religion. Even today in communist China his teachings continue to influence the modern culture

Confucius taught us the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. Great words to live by!

This is not a bad philosophy for entrepreneurs either.

Part of your daily ritual  should be to FOCUS upon establishing YOUR PRESENCE This is your presence and not a random video or article or Facebook friends. Realize that each minute that you spend upon someone else’s non-relevant information is wasted time. For the entrepreneur this is a form of branding yourself to bring recognition to your product or service.

To focus, keep asking yourself: Is this activity relevant to what I am doing?

Establish your WORTH daily until this becomes automatic and you have received the recognition that you need to be successful.  Do some brain storming and decide for your particular business what this involves. Focus upon what your target audience needs and build worth by filling the need.

Remember that when you watch a video that is not relevant, you are promoting someone else’s interest, not yours!

This one is relevant! Watch and Enjoy!

 To your success!
